Jun./July 2026: Verdant Season, Digital Dreams – A Look Back and Ahead at Netspring’s Initiatives
In early summer, Netspring team, together with its partners, advanced green and digital inclusion initiatives, bringing tangible changes to rural students and community groups through warm and practical actions.
In mid-May, the 2026 Netspring Student Digital Art Competition was launched, with activities to be presented during the France-China Environment Month in autumn. This marks our eighth year partnering with the Embassy of France in China. The competition features three categories: traditional painting, computer graphics, and coding animation. Also in May, FORVIA Group volunteers renewed a "Green IT Classroom" in Zhangzhou, providing 35 refurbished laptops and conducting a digital aesthetics class and campus beautification activities. On June 11, Netspring team and Cisco volunteers completed the final coding class of the 2025-2026 academic year, with over 40 volunteer participants reaching nearly 100 students throughout the year.
We sincerely thank all partners and volunteers for their dedication. From classroom renewal to coding and environmental art initiatives, we are steadily bridging the digital divide. This October, we look forward to witnessing the blossoming of young creativity and writing more heartwarming chapters together.
Digital Warmth in Early Summer — FORVIA's Green IT Classroom Renewal in Zhangzhou
On the warm afternoon of May 20, 2026 — a day filled with love — a heartfelt volunteer initiative took place. Organized by Netspring Green IT Programs, volunteers from FORVIA Group visited Punan Town, Zhangzhou, to successfully renew a "Green IT Classroom" and conduct volunteer activities onsite. In this vibrant season when nature flourishes and all things turn toward the sun, the volunteers, with their sincere passion and warmth, built a digital bridge for rural students.
As part of this renewal, FORVIA Group provided 35 high-performance laptops refurbished by Netspring team. Meanwhile, the school's existing desktop computers were comprehensively maintained and carefully relocated to village-level elementary schools under its jurisdiction, ensuring continued service to students. In the renewal ceremony witnessed by the entire school, the school principal, along with representatives from FORVIA Group and Netspring, gave speeches, then handed over and unveiled the renewed name plate, marking the launch of this brand-new digital learning space.
Following the renewal ceremony, a variety of volunteer activities proceeded at the same time. The first group of volunteers led more than 30 upperclass students into the renewed green IT classroom for an engaging "Digital Aesthetics Class." During the class, the volunteers patiently explained concepts and guided hands-on activities. The students listened attentively to lessons on color aesthetics and ecological conservation, operated computers to create PowerPoint presentations, and independently completed creative "color self-portraits." This immersive digital classroom effectively enhanced the children's practical IT skills and digital literacy, while also stimulating their artistic creativity and imagination — achieving a dual empowerment of academic learning and aesthetic education.
Meanwhile, another group of volunteers, working alongside student volunteer representatives, carried out a beautification activity on the school's exterior walls on the first floor of the playground. The team members divided tasks and worked in perfect harmony, meticulously applying colors and refining details. With every carefully executed stroke, the once-monotonous campus walls were transformed. This initiative not only enhanced the campus environment and enriched its cultural atmosphere, but also quietly embedded environmental awareness and aesthetic appreciation deep into the children's hearts.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., all volunteer-led workshops and interactive sessions came to a successful close. As it coincided with the school's annual Arts Festival, students took to the stage one after another to present their carefully prepared performances — clear singing, graceful dancing, and melodious instrumental music filled the air with innocence and vitality. This day marked both the launch of the renewed IT classroom and the full bloom of the school's artistic spirit, creating an atmosphere where warmth and art intertwined. The renewal of the green IT classroom and the volunteer activities have effectively improved the school's hardware teaching conditions. Netspring team will continue to work with partners to bridge the digital education divide and support the development of IT in basic education.
Netspring and Cisco Conclude 2025–2026 Coding Volunteer Programme
On 11 June, Netspring Green IT Programs, in collaboration with Cisco Cowboys volunteers, visited Chenchun Primary School to deliver the final engaging coding session of the academic year to three Grade 4 classes, marking the successful conclusion of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Since 2020, Netspring and Cisco have jointly offered a logical thinking and coding course at the school. Held once every two weeks and taught by Cisco volunteer instructors, the course is designed for Grade 4 students. In 2023, the two organisations refurbished and upgraded the existing Green IT Classrooms, significantly enhancing the school's IT teaching capabilities. Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, over 40 Cisco volunteers participated in the volunteering activities, reaching nearly 100 students. The coding course played a positive role in sparking students' interest in learning, fostering innovation, and strengthening their logical thinking.

Beyond the regular curriculum, Cisco volunteers also actively coached students in the Netspring Student Digital Art Competition, where they submitted entries in the coding animation category and achieved outstanding results. With the dedicated guidance of the volunteers, the students' creative works demonstrated not only the skills they acquired in class but also their ability to express ideas through technology.
During the final session, the volunteer instructors provided step-by-step guidance, which not only enriched the students' extracurricular experience but also effectively supported the development of creativity, logical reasoning, and overall intellectual growth. After class, a student happily shared with us:
"In the coding class, the volunteers taught us step by step how to make a horse jump on the computer. It was so amazing that it inspired my dream of becoming an engineer when I grow up."
In mid-May, the 2026 Netspring Students Digital Art Competition was officially launched, with a series of themed activities to unfold during this golden October as part of FCEM. Since our first collaboration in 2019, the partnership between Netspring Green IT Programs and the Franco-Chinese Environment Month (FCEM), organized by the Embassy of France in China, has entered its eighth year. This year, we join hands once again to sow the seeds of ecological awareness among young people through digital art.
We have long believed that the creativity of young people holds the blueprint for our future. This competition invites children to depict their vision of a green world through paintbrushes and code, transforming their observations of nature and their understanding of environmental protection into vivid artistic expressions. Three creative categories are available — traditional painting, digital painting, and coding animation — catering to students with varied talents and interests, so that every child can speak in the way they do best. Netspring team also provides ongoing tutoring and creative guidance throughout the process, ensuring that every idea gets the support it deserves.
More importantly, we aim to offer young participants a stage to showcase themselves. The public showcase and award ceremony for outstanding artworks of this competition will be included in the official program of the 2026 Franco-Chinese Environment Month, bringing young creators to a broader stage and amplifying their environmental messages to resonate across society.
We sincerely thank all our partners for their consistent support and continued commitment to youth development and the environment. This golden October, let us come together for this green rendezvous and celebrate the fruits of young creativity.
