Netspring and Cisco Conclude 2025–2026 Coding Volunteer Programme

On 11 June, Netspring Green IT Programs, in collaboration with Cisco Cowboys volunteers, visited Chenchun Primary School to deliver the final engaging coding session of the academic year to three Grade 4 classes, marking the successful conclusion of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Since 2020, Netspring and Cisco have jointly offered a logical thinking and coding course at the school. Held once every two weeks and taught by Cisco volunteer instructors, the course is designed for Grade 4 students. In 2023, the two organisations refurbished and upgraded the existing Green IT Classrooms, significantly enhancing the school's IT teaching capabilities.
Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, over 40 Cisco volunteers participated in the volunteering activities, reaching nearly 100 students. The coding course played a positive role in sparking students' interest in learning, fostering innovation, and strengthening their logical thinking.
Beyond the regular curriculum, Cisco volunteers also actively coached students in the Netspring Student Digital Art Competition, where they submitted entries in the coding animation category and achieved outstanding results. With the dedicated guidance of the volunteers, the students' creative works demonstrated not only the skills they acquired in class but also their ability to express ideas through technology.
During the final session, the volunteer instructors provided step-by-step guidance, which not only enriched the students' extracurricular experience but also effectively supported the development of creativity, logical reasoning, and overall intellectual growth. After class, a student happily shared with us:
"In the coding class, the volunteers taught us step by step how to make a horse jump on the computer. It was so amazing that it inspired my dream of becoming an engineer when I grow up."
