On November 12, a delegation of UPS China management representatives and 10 volunteers arrived at a rural school in Xinxiang, Henan Province, to witness the official opening of the UPS Green IT Classroom. Through interactive IT and eco-handcraft classes, the volunteers engaged warmly with students, encouraging them to share their aspirations and sparking their interest in information technology. The new classroom effectively addresses the school's long-standing shortage of computer facilities, helping bridge the digital divide and broaden learning horizons for rural children.
The school principal expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the donated computers not only ease teaching difficulties but also reflect UPS and Netspring's deep commitment to rural education, inspiring both students and teachers to move forward with determination. Ms. Linda Wei, Program Director of Netspring, thanked UPS for its continued support and expressed her hope that the children would achieve academic success and give back to society in the future.
The power of common good grows from every small act of kindness. In the contribution drive, 58 UPS employees from Henan and Shanghai actively participated, contributing a total of 676 contributed items. These supplies have not only expanded the children’s knowledge horizons but also brightened their extracurricular experience. Each item carries the deep care and sincere blessings of UPS employees toward the children in rural areas.
