In late April, Netspring successfully co-hosted this year's Earth Day E-waste Recycling Drive with the AmCham Shanghai, achieving fruitful results. Marking ‘World Environment Day’ on June 5, we are proud to partner again with two long-term partners for another E-waste Drive to help the environment avoid pollution. At end of June, FORVIA Fengcheng Green IT Classroom renovation plan was successfully launched, and Cisco engineers also came to a migrant school in Songjiang, Shanghai to draw a close for the coding courses with the school children.

Thank You, Earth Day Heros! E-waste Drive by Netspring and AmCham Shanghai Concluded Successfully

April 22 is the annual “Earth Day”, this year, Netspring Green IT Programs once again collaborated with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) to organize the 2025 E-waste Recycling Drive during Earth Day and the event has achieved fruitful results.
This year’s E-waste Recycling Drive was held on April 22nd in Suzhou and April 25th at the office of the AmCham Shanghai respectively. 6 companies participated in the Suzhou event, while the Shanghai event attracted 20 corporate and individual contributors. More than 2000 electronic items were collected through 2 events with an estimated weight of 4 tons.

Afterwards Netspring team will sort and test all received electronic items, Non-renewable or non-reusable equipment will be disposed in an environmentally friendly manner, while renewable electronic waste will be used to support Netspring Green IT Programs. So far, more than 78000 students have gained opportunities for digital education through Netspring Green IT Programs. Netspring team will uphold the mission of "Transforming E-waste into E-learning" and continue to build Green IT Classrooms for schools and communities in need.

FORVIA Green IT Classroom Inspiring Tomorrow in Fengcheng launched Renovation

At the end of June, as summer holiday approaches and the semester draws to a close, Netspring Green IT Programs has completed the renovation of FORVIA Green IT Classroom Inspiring Tomorrow in Fengcheng, Jiangxi.
The Green IT Classroom located in Fengcheng High- tech Zone Primary School has been functioning well for over three years. The renovation replaced all 30 refurbished green computers, ensuring the new equipment will continue to support weekly IT classes for grade 3 to 6 students with reliable hardware for the next three years.

FORVIA China Implements E-waste Drive

In March, FORVIA China partnered with Netspring Green IT Programs to launch this year's E-waste Drive. A total of 16 FORVIA sites employees actively participated in the activity, resulting in the collection of nearly 700 used electronic devices. All collected E-waste were handed over to Netspring team by the end of May for sorting and disposal. Those functional or reusable items will support Netspring Green IT Classrooms, while non-reuseable items will be eco-dismantled.

UPS Global Volunteer Month is ‘On’

Recently, UPS Shanghai has once again collaborated with Netspring Green IT Programs to conduct a combined E-waste Recycling and book donation drive, actively responding to UPS's Global Volunteer Month initiatives with actions. A total of 29 UPS corporate volunteers were engaged, successfully collecting over 60 electronic devices and 130+ books for proper recycling and re-distribution.
Netspring team will sort and test all collected electronic items. Those functional or reusable items will support Netspring Green IT Classrooms, while non-reusable items will be eco-dismantled. The donated books have already arrived in the Guangzhou school where UPS helped establish a Green IT Classroom in December 2023, providing valuable new reading resource for students.
We sincerely thank UPS employees for their continuous participation in the E-waste recycling initiative for many years. Your kind actions will contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet.
‘I Enjoy Fun Coding Classes!’ - Netspring IT Coding Course Concluded Successfully

In June, Netspring Green IT Classroom wrapped up its 2024 IT Coding Course at a migrant children’s school in Songjiang District. In 2023, Netspring Green IT Programs joined hands with Cisco to establish a Cisco Green IT Classroom at the school, along with a IT coding course. The biweekly course was designed for Grade 4 students, with Cisco volunteers serving as course instructors.
Throughout the 2024 academic year, over 40 Cisco volunteers contributed to the coding course, empowering nearly 100 Grade 4 students at the school. The program played a positive role in fostering children's intellectual growth, creativity, and logical thinking skills.
