New Classroom for A New Future - The Opening Ceremony of FORVIA Green IT Classroom Inspiring Tomorrow and Volunteering Activity Successfully Completed

In early winter, the chill in the air is not yet apparent. In a primary school in Nong'an County, love and enthusiasm blended into a warm current, bringing the breath of spring to the northern country in winter. On November 18th, the children happily welcomed the opening of FORVIA Green IT Classroom Inspiring Tomorrow in the school, and welcomed the arrival of FORVIA volunteers with their bright smiles and warm applause.

As the seventh largest automotive technology supplier in the world, FORVIA Group actively practices corporate social responsibility and makes the contributions to local economic development and the creation of local social value. The newly-completed Green IT Classroom is its 12th classroom since Fauceria started to support this program, the classroom is equipped with 30+ refurbished computers, which will greatly improve the school's outdated computer hardware facilities and create excellent conditions for children's informatization education.

The establishment of the Green IT Classroom has received strong support from the senior leadership team of FORVIA China. 10 senior leaders of FORVIA Group, together with 20+ local employees from FORVIA Group, attended the opening ceremony. Principal Chen, on behalf of the school, kicked off the ceremony with his speech, he welcomed the leaders and volunteer team of FORVIA Group. He mentioned the difficulties that existed in the IT classroom before and the children's long-standing desire to take IT classes. He thanked FORVIA Group for their strong support to school and the children. Ma Chuan, Member of FORVIA's Executive Committee and Faurecia China President, alongside Heiko Lässig, Managing Director of HELLA Corporate Center Asia & Executive Vice President of Finance & Controlling China at FORVIA HELLA subsequently delivered their speeches respectively, sharing the achievements of FORVIA Group in implementing corporate social responsibility and community building and fusion, emphasizing the company's commitment to the path of green and sustainability, and adapting sustainability to the delivery of educational resources. Ms. Wei, as the representative of Netspring Green IT Programs, reviewed the history of mutual trust and cooperation between Netspring and FORVIA Group over the past 10+ years in her speech. She thanked the school teachers for their selfless dedication to the children, and wished the children to learn more skills in this Green IT Classroom.

In the following volunteering activity, the FORVIA volunteers brought a practical IT class and a creative handicraft class to the children. At the beginning of the IT class, the volunteer teacher shared some environmental knowledge about low-carbon living with everyone and then moved to an interesting knowledge competition at the class. The children raised their hands and actively wanted to answer the questions. Then, under the patient guidance of all volunteers, the children tried to create posters based on their understanding of low-carbon living by using computers. The environmental handicraft class is a wooden model assembly of a solar powered car. Volunteers guide children to complete this "big project" step by step, exercising their hands-on ability. Also, through the handicraft class, volunteers helped students vividly understand the concepts of new energy and sustainability.
