Revisit Report: Cache-Cache Green IT Classroom (2014-6-12)

【Origin】

In January 2013, “Cache-Cache Green IT Classroom” was built in Binhu Primary School, located in Huaining District, Anhui. Stephane Tork, the president of Beaumanoir, and the HR manager Maggie, as well as the principal of the school, attended the opening ceremony. In addition, the volunteers from Beaumanoir and Netspring gave the students a computer class and a lively class meeting.

Binhu Primary School had no computer classroom before, and the teachers are also lack of computer skills. But the children are eager to learn it. Therefore Beaumanoir decided to support refurbished computers to build a “Green IT Classroom” for the kids there.

In June 2014, School informed Netspring that 5 computers were broken and they want to get 5 sets computers more to be used for IT Classroom. According to the school request, Netspring and Cache-Cache revisited school on 12th of Jun. We examined and repaired the broken computers and bring 5 extra refurbish computers to school. After the revisit, all the computers in “Cache-Cache IT Classroom” worked well.

【Computer classes organization】

Every class in the school will have one IT class-hour in one week, the IT class starts from grade 3 to grade 6. Altogether, there are 4 different classes will have the IT class.From the beginning of March to the end of Jun, there are about 200 kids in the school have the IT class in the Cache-Cache Green IT classroom and 64 class-hours.

【Happy Moments】

On June 12th, 2014, Netspring and Cache-Cache revisited Binhu Primary school and check the computer equipment. They had a computer class and a lively art class with kids. The kids also show us the computer skills they’ve learned and a wonderful performance.
