June 2019: Netspring Actively Participated in the 10th L’Oréal China Citizen Day!

Netspring Actively Participated in the 10th L’Oréal China Citizen Day!

Special thanks to L’Oréal China and Lancôme China for their contribution of obsolete electronic equipment during its 10th L’Oréal Citizen Day on June 20 & 21st, 2019.

This greatly supported Netspring teams in their mission to “Transform e-waste into e-education”, which will create further impact as a meaningful Tech4Good player and help preserve our environment from unwanted electronic waste pollution.

Annually, L'Oréal mobilizes its employees for Citizen Day, one day-long volunteering event reflecting its conviction that every employee devoting to offer their skills and energy to local communities and social or environmental protection organizations. This year is its ten-year anniversary.

Stéphane Rinderknech, 3rd CEO of L’Oréal China made a great contribution to underprivileged children: “I have chosen to give my special support to two meaningful projects - Netspring Green IT Classroom and Children of Madaifu to help more underprivileged in China. Shanghai is a warm city, I am proud to be a Shanghai citizen. L’Oréal will continue to promote the volunteering activities and enhance its development in Shanghai so as to make the society more beautiful.”

Grateful thanks from Netspring children to Mr. Stéphane Rinderknech and L’Oréal China teams for their warm support.

This truly reflects the meaning of “Sharing Beauty with All” from L'Oréal.

What happens Inside Our Green IT Classrooms?

As always, our teams have been busy visiting our schools, maintaining the computers in our Green It classrooms as well as exchanging with teachers and students on their progress in digital literacy and their learning.

“Students are far more interested in IT class than in other subjects. Since the parents of most students are busy with their work and spend less time with children, computer classes can enrich their knowledge and broaden their horizon during their spare time.”

Teacher from Xi’An Green IT Classroom

I came from Anhui. My parents work in Shanghai, so I followed them to come here two years ago. I did not have a computer in my hometown, so I like IT classes the most. It makes me discover and connect to the world outside. Most importantly, my friends and I have more shared topics. At the same time, I always show off that I can play animation during the IT class and learn a lot of new knowledge through computers with my friends.”

Student from Songjiang Green IT Classroom

“We always expect that volunteers from company could build the bridge with children, because of them, more and more children like to come to school. Since the school doesn’t have sufficient teaching resources, children usually look for resources online by themselves.”
