Thanks to AmCham Shanghai, Netspring has received nearly 500 used computers on last year’s Donation Drive event.We successfully refurbish 136 sets of computers, we have supported 8 schools to setup Green IT Classrooms for the underprivileged kids! In total, 3000kg e-waste has been eco-recycled.

On Mar 28th and 29th 2013, the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) led a successful social campaign to raise obsolete electronic devices for the “Netspring Green IT Classroom” program. Nearly 40 companies and individuals took an active part in the campaign and contributed their spare equipment. Netspring extends its sincere gratitude to the companies and individuals who cooperated in this event. In two days, participating companies and individuals came to the drop-off spot, going through the take-over process: handing over equipment, registering information and taking pictures. Most received equipment was computers, laptops, screens, servers, and routers and printers. |
Up to March this year, out of the 136 refurbished computers, 56 sets are in use in 8 schools for the underprivileged children, 5 sets will be used in local senior citizen activity center. In total, 3000kg e-waste has been eco-recycled. Below is the certificate from our partner for eco-dismantling of the e-waste, especially to AmCham Shanghai and it’s members.
